Cancellation Policies

At Melodywise School of Music we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we strive to accommodate our students' needs to the best of our ability. By enrolling in lessons at Melodywise School of Music, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the terms of this cancellation policy. Please review our cancellation policy outlined below:

Private Lesson and Piano Lab Workshop Students

1. Rescheduling Lessons:

Students are welcome to reschedule their lessons in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, or unavoidable conflicts. We encourage students to notify us of any scheduling changes as soon as possible to allow for proper adjustments. Click here to reschedule a lesson.

2. Cancellations:

Cancellations of scheduled lessons are not accepted. However, we understand that emergencies can happen, and we will do our best to accommodate such situations on a case-by-case basis.

3. Notification: If a student needs to reschedule a lesson, they must notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide at least 24 hours' notice may result in the forfeit of that lesson.

 

4. Make-Up Lessons: We will make every effort to reschedule missed lessons at a mutually convenient time within the same week, subject to availability. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are provided at the discretion of the instructor.

 

5. No-Shows: If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be forfeited, and no make-up lesson will be provided.

 

6. Teacher Cancellations: In the rare event that a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a make-up lesson at a mutually convenient time.

Summer Programs

Cancellation by the Camper:

  1. Cancellation made 30 days or more before the start of the camp session: Full refund of the camp fees, minus a non-            refundable fee of $50.

  2. Cancellation made between 15 and 29 days before the start of the camp session: 50% refund of the camp fees.

  3. Cancellation made 14 days or less before the start of the camp session: No refund will be provided.

  4. Requests for cancellations must be submitted via email to the camp administration.

 

Cancellation by the Camp:

In the event that the camp is canceled by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, low enrollment, or other reasons, the following options are available to registered campers: Full refund of the camp fees.

Transfer of registration to another camp session, if available. Camp organizers will notify registered campers as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation and provide details regarding refunds or alternative options.

 

Illness or Emergency:

No refunds will be provided for campers who miss camp days due to illness or emergency.

 

No-Show Policy:

No refunds will be provided for campers who fail to attend without prior notification (no-shows).

 

Refund Processing:

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving a written cancellation request.  Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, minus the applicable administrative fee.

 

Non-Refundable Fees:

- Administrative fee

- Any transaction fees incurred during the registration process (e.g., credit card processing fees)

Behavioral Expectations

At Melodywise School of Music, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all campers. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we have established the following behavioral expectations:

 

  1. Respect: Treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect. We celebrate diversity and expect all campers to interact with each other in a respectful and inclusive manner.

  2. Cooperation: Work collaboratively with fellow campers and instructors. Participate in group activities and discussions with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute.

  3. Listening: Listen attentively to instructions and guidance provided by instructors. Follow directions promptly and ask for clarification if needed.

  4. Responsibility: Take responsibility for your actions and belongings. Keep the camp environment clean and tidy, and respect the equipment and materials provided.

  5. Participation: Students will be encouraged to participate in all camp activities. However, students will not be forced to participate.

  6. Safety: Prioritize safety at all times. Follow safety guidelines provided by instructors and report any hazards or concerns to a staff member immediately.

  7. Cell Phones and Electronic Devices: Limit the use of cell phones and electronic devices to designated times. During camp activities, keep electronic devices stored away unless otherwise instructed.

  8. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully. If disagreements arise, communicate calmly and constructively, and seek assistance from a staff member if needed.

 

By adhering to these behavioral expectations, campers will contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for themselves and their peers. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a welcoming and harmonious camp environment.
